Did testosterone or transition change your sexuality (who you are attracted to)?

Yes and No - I felt more comfortable being attracted to females without thinking I could have been a lesbian (which I knew I was NOT) I have also realised I am still attracted to other men and that is OK too.

Attitudes of HealthCare Providers

Positive aspects of healthcare provider treatment

My shrink was great right from the beginning - his manner, language, attitude, and the way he treated me helped me to be included as a male; the way I always wanted to be treated. I can't give any specific example as his overall approach was to treat me as a male from the beginning.

Negative aspects of healthcare provider treatment

My own doctor at the time discussing me with his friends on a camping trip - the friend worked with me and related a confidential conversation I had had with the doctor after the camping trip.

Other Comments

If you are so sure you are in the wrong body that not being able to change it through the correct channels is going to be detrimental to your health (suicide) then don't go through with it - the results are not negotiable and the reversal is not always successful.
