Testosterone

  • Started taking Testosterone at 27 years old

Life before transition was missing something but otherwise great.

My identity prior to transition was dyke, boi, boygrl.

Treatment & Effects

What medical process/hormone regime

  • Andiol pills 2/day for 1 month, 3/day for 1 month.
  • Next plan is 1/2 250mg Depo 1/mth for 2 mths, 1x250gm shot Depo every 4 weeks then revision of program with view to 3 week intervals.

Attitudes of HealthCare Providers

Positive aspects of healthcare provider treatment

Openness and respect in general. Nice 'lil old nurses taking blood and crossing out 'F' and putting 'M' on my bloodtest paperwork because 'obviously you're a strapping young lad'

Negative aspects of healthcare provider treatment

A story my GP told me about an MTF that committed suicide post-op…his only previous experience of dealing with Trans* people.
