Relatively little
is known about the effects of testosterone
on the human body for men identified
female at birth. There is little
scientific research into the long-term
effects of testosterone for men
identified female at birth, on
life-long maintainence hormone therapy.
What is the strategy?
FTM Australia strives to offer
information regarding transition on
testosterone and its effects in the lives
of men who undertake this treatment.
Anecdotal research has the advantage of
focusing on individual
differences.
We are not doctors, researchers or
medical health experts, but we have
personal experience of the process to
share with others.
What can I do?
Contribute your experiences via a
questionnaire of those who take
testosterone in order to transition,
specifically
in Australia and New
Zealand.
Your real identity is obscured and your
responses, comments and experiences will
become a valuable source to others who
have questions about testosterone and
transition.
Even if you feel your experience was
very ordinary, then you have exactly
the kind of input we are looking for.
It will take about half an hour to
work through the questionnaire. There will
be many others who will be very grateful
to you for assisting in this very
practical way.
