Testosterone products in Australia
The Australian PBS allows for testosterone medication to be available in a number of different forms (pellets, injections, patches, gel etc). Click here to read a summary of each product in terms of medical transition.
| Tablet | Andriol Testocaps® Tablets can be useful for a short time when starting transition |
| Patch | Androderm® Patches can be useful for those who have a bleeding disorder eg., Haemophilia |
| Implant | Implants® Long-acting pellets (3-5) are inserted under the skin and need to be replaced 3-6 months |
| IM* injection | Primoteston Depot 250® Delivers a high strong regular dose very useful for early transition (2-5 years) |
| IM* injection | Reandron 1000® Delivers a long-acting maintainance dose very useful to reduce injection frequency (3+ years) |
| IM* injection | Sustanon 250® Delivers a high strong regular dose very useful for early transition (2-5 years) |
| Gel | Testogel® Can be useful as maintaince dose after ovary removal or for those who have a bleeding disorder eg., Haemophilia |
