Queensland Drivers licence

Correcting your sex on your Queensland drivers’ licence is as simple as going into your local Department of Transport and Main Roads office and providing evidence of your permanent male sex.

A letter from your medical practitioner or GP is sufficient stating along the lines of:

“Andrew (male), formerly Sandra (female) is undergoing sex affirmation treatment and is now to be considered permanently male”.

FTM Australia understands the sex on your drivers’ licence for all other states and territories, is automatically corrected to male when your title is corrected to ’Mr’ for correspondence purposes. The recommendation is this is best carried out in person when your physical masculinisation is evident to other people.
