hi....I'm 13 years old. I want to have ftm surgery. yeah...I know.....I probably wouldn't be able to do it now, since I'm so young.

There is some important medical treatment you can get. They're called puberty-blockers. These will suspend your female puberty. They are safe and if you ever want to stop, you can and your female puberty will just continue like normal. This medication just stops the physical changes (menstrual cycle, breast growth, hip widening etc) and give you some breathing space.

You could be saved a lot of surgical expense and other drama if you get onto the puberty-blockers medication as soon as possible. You will need to be assessed by a dr to confirm this treatment, so you need to get your parents help with this.

If you think your parents will freak out, you can still go to your family doctor, a local doctor, or someone you trust (doctor, priest, minister or family member) and ask them to contact us to get some more information. We can usually give you referral information for medical treatment and legal help.
