is the only resource service with specifically
targeted and appropriate resources or sources of
information for men and their families affected
by the physical condition of
transsexualism.

FTM Australia's
target population is men and their families
affected by the physical condition of
transsexualism, service providers and a range of
healthcare providers.
FTM Australia
asserts the distinct nature of
transsexualism (as a medical condition)
and respects the inclusion of men affected by
the physical condition of transsexualism within
the social context of male, rather than
the social context of
transgender.
FTM Australia
recognises there are aspects of the issues and
experiences of men with the physical condition
of transsexualism and transgender female-to-male
(FTM) people which can overlap. Where the
interests of both populations intersect,
FTM Australia works in concert with
other groups to best represent the interests of
the membership of
FTM Australia.
FTM Australia
will actively seek to provide resources,
information and education to men and their
families affected by the physical condition of
transsexualism.
