A lot has happened this month. We had our first information evening which was held on 8th July in Glebe. Leo Turner from the Andrology Unit at Concord Hospital gave a talk about testosterone; we had 33 people attend and received positive feedback from all.

In response to feedback from the evaluations, we are now looking at organizing a top surgery info evening and a transgender and the law info evening. When more details are finalised we will let you know. If anyone has ideas on information evenings or resources to be developed please let us know.

FTM Australia has been invited to the Fifth International Congress on Sex and Gender, 24-27th October in Perth. This is very exciting as Jamison Green and Stephen Whittle will be attending the conference. Hopefully, James Green will come over to Sydney after Perth for the Health in Difference Conference early November.

FTM Australia has applied to participate in the Health in Difference Conference in Sydney, so we will know more in early August.

The board is also looking into Incorporation. We need to complete a great deal of work to make FTM Australia ready for Incorporation, so hopefully we will have the model rules completed by the end of the year.

This means that the Annual General Meeting is likely to be held over until the New Year. This will give the current board ample time to complete the tasks ahead of them.

cheers,

Jack, FTMA President
