Faith in Oneself

HAVE a little Faith.

The journey you take in life is a long one full of interesting twists and turns. Sometimes you can feel like life rushes by taking less than a blink of the eye for a decade to pass. Then there are times when a simple second can feel like an eternity and then some.

When we travel these twists and turns of life some of us have a clear idea of where we’ve been and where we’re heading. Others may feel they’re blindfolded with some crazy at the wheel. For me, the journey of transitioning has definitely had its fair share of all of those feelings.

What got me moving and kept me on track? Faith.

Now, I know it’s almost Christmas and everyone is gearing up for holiday mode and summer fun but faith in a religious sense of the word isn’t quite what I was aiming at.

I mean faith in me, in my own judgement.

Faith in that (sometimes little) voice or gut instinct that has guided me through these last few years of decisions. It was that faith that pushed me towards a new future when I made my first doctor’s appointment. A new future when the road I was to travel got paved in the colours and textures of my dreams. Faith that the vision of me as I believed it should be would materialise in time.

For those of you who have done this before me and those of you yet to take that step, you’ll all know the squeaks of doubt that can hang around the edges. Sometimes it can materialise in words from our family or friends or the medical professionals.

The key to staying on track is to hold on to that faith and be true to yourself. By keeping that focus and holding faith you can travel a long way on your journey into a future full of growth and prosperity.

Sure, it can be a daunting prospect to start T and not know how it might change your relationships or your outlook on life or your hairline. These are some of those twists in life. Then there are the turns. I like to think of them as upturns. Upturn in luck, in outlook, in energy and in life

I know for many guys I meet, their worlds began a transformation of their own, once they embark on their journey – their transition. I have seen many engagements and a few children. I have seen broader smiles and gaits with a spring along with heads held with pride. All the results of having faith in yourself and pursuing the future you dream of.

So for those of you having a little doubt in the next turn in your journey of life just have a little Faith. In yourself. It’s amazing the abundance of possibilities that can cascade as you open yourself up to the world showing your true desires and dreams.

So have faith as the next upturn may be just around the corner.
